We dropped the RV rental idea as just too damned expensive, roughly 1500 USD a week! Gads, lotta money to drive a vehicle around that will get probably 10mpg at 6 dollars a gallon, wow. About the same as in our corner of the US...about 5.00 USD per gallon.  Then we were off to Chateauroux for a days shopping for everything possible.  Chateauroux is about 20 miles from Lignieres, due west.

They were having a fly-in/airshow/not-so-static display of WW2 aircraft and many others. They promised P-51 Mustangs in quantities not to be less than 13 or so and it's one of my favorites. Bar the windows, disarm the employees and the bosses (too many of those!), only bike to work and ban all pills and poisons. Our dearest of friends S&amp;D took us to the Chateauneuf Choo-Choo for the gala trip north to Paris, leg #1.  Up at 7, finished detailing the house by turning the water off and draining the water lines everywhere that I could locate a drain.
