Details, Details, Details

It has been a very mild spring and as the summer is officially only 8 days old today it has been warm and warmer and today downright Hot. If you call 101 degrees hot that is. I do. Yes that is probably a bit high but the reflectivity of the limestone white courtyard adds to the load on the outside thermometer during the height of the daily sun cycle...about 3 to 4 pm and thus the exceptional reading.
Inside on the ground floor it was a mild 73 degrees F. I spent most of the day fitting and cutting the remaing moulding strips for the sitting room. It is nearly done though and it really gave the room a nice finishing touch.
Our friends Michelle and Steve are leaving home on Wednesday bound for the north coast of Scotland for a few days then drive the legth of the island and ferry across to France sometime next week. The guest room is as far as we can get it done until the @##$#@#@! Nano paint arrives, whenever. We are still awaiting shipping notification via email as promised this week.
Other than all the manual work we have been nowhere in particular and are just enjoying finishing some of the rooms so we are ready for our visitors.
We're smiling at our progress.
