So yesterday morning, as I said, we delivered the Kats, feral to the Solano County Animal Shelter for their $20 dollar apiece "makeover". When we arrived there was a handful of other folks with their cages all covered with their own Kats, feral. We unloaded the 6 and placed them against the side of the building and waited. Much chatter ensued as we all shared our Kat stories and took a look at the various in their cages awaiting :The Cut". Within a short while volunteers from the Solano County Cat Rescue came with clipboard and forms to fill out, at least they weren't long nor in triplicate. Once the process began in earnest we soon found ourselves carting the cages towards the door labeled "Cat Adoption". Inside the kindly volunteers examined our paperwork, the cats and turned us loose to return after we were called later the same afternoon. We came home and I setup (mis en plase) to create a dinner of Chicken and Dumplings.
